Open up a notepad document (Start, Programs, Accessories, Notepad). Highlight the text you want to save , right click and copy. Then go to your notepad document , right click again and paste. Keep doing this to you have all the info you need then save your document. I wouldn't use select all because you'll just have to go back and delete the stuff you don't want. Then open up the document, click at the top edit, select all , then right click the highlighted text and copy. Click on the body of your e-mail form and paste. Now you're ready to send it to yourself.

Why can't I get into my email or myyahoo sites using my username and password--they worked for this site.?
I'm concerned that it has to do with an expired certificate from MSN called Microsoft Code Signing PCA, which I was notified expired 4/5/2006. Since there was no information for renewal a way to prevent expiration, I don't know for sure if this is the problem, but my computer absolutely will not allow mw onto my email or my Yahoo sites--keep getting "this page cannot be displayed" messages. My username and password work to get into this Yahoo Ask site, but not into my email or my yaooo site. Help!!

Do a search for "Sam Spade" and you will be able to download a free software package which will allow you to backtrace the path the email took to get to you, and it will identify the bogus entries in that path which is likely a forged email address or server. Spammers always forge the addresses to hide their actual identity on the net.

If they are doing something illegal, you can report them to the email host (Google for @gmail.com or Yahoo for @yahoo.com). They will be able to take care of the matter. They have a much better chance finding out who owns the email.

Ads like the bare cellulite buttock in the Hydroderm and the Victoria's Secret ads are offensive and unnecessary. Why do I have to see them? I know about popup blockers, but then it messes up other software to use them. Why not just clean up the ads??????

I get distracted, keep visualizing all the stuff I'm missing. Will my questions go to a vote while I'm gone? Will a friend send me an email and be offended when I don't answer? And worst of all, will my answers which go to voting lose out for lack of any votes?

But there's no reason for a vote to hang suspended in mid-air, tied at zero. ok so i work in an offfice where i am here anywhere 10-12 hours a day and up untill today we had access to whatever sites we wanted now we have no access to anything i am not sure who messed up or why they did this but it is driving me crazy, i can't even check web based email anymore, so does anyone know how to squeez around the filters? thanks

Seems like your IP address is being blocked by the website.
Most cable/phone companies routinely change IP addresses of the subscribers so you can wait a few days and it will fix itself. You can get your Ip address by going to this website http://whatismyip.com/.
You can also go to Starbucks or a friends place to do this.
But most websites want users to use their websites so if they blocked you that just means you are a bad guy.

As to free email - Yahoo! is excellent and an advantage is that you are independent of your ISP - so if you change ISP in the future (as you almost certainly will) you can keep your Yahoo email address and won't lose touch with those to whom you have given your email address.
I've been with Yahoo for years and been through 4 or 5 ISPs.
Not so keen on Hotmail. I started getting lots of spam. Yahoo spam filters are excellent.

As to free email - Yahoo! is excellent and an advantage is that you are independent of your ISP - so if you change ISP in the future (as you almost certainly will) you can keep your Yahoo email address and won't lose touch with those to whom you have given your email address.
I've been with Yahoo for years and been through 4 or 5 ISPs.
Not so keen on Hotmail. I started getting lots of spam. Yahoo spam filters are excellent.

You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.
First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.
Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.
Use your spam filter and block address.
Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it
Options/ mail options / spam preferences
make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes
Options /mail options / blocked addresses
Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block'
you will never get mail from that address again.
This should help you to control your spam.
Other tips:
Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure who it is from.
Never give out your personal information to anyone.
If at a website and you must sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you notices, info, or ads.

Figuring out why your computer can't get into secure sites is a tough one. Here are some steps to take:
(1) Visit http://www.windowsupdate.com/ (if possible, sometimes this sort of problem takes away this option) and make sure you have the latest and greatest. Keep going back until it says you have no new critical updates.
(2) Try another browser. http://www.mozilla.com/ is where you can get Firefox. It might not solve the underlying problem, but it can give you an option and it's good to have a backup browser anyway.
(3) Check your system date and time, including year and time zone. Simple, yet it can cause this problem.
(4) Disable ALL security programs. Firewalls, pop-up blockers, browser toolbars, anti-virus.... This includes router firewalls---If you're going through a router, bypass it. Keep them disabled for the duration of your troubleshooting.
(5) Go to Start%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Internet Options. Clear the cookies, Clear the files, including "Offline" files. Go to the security tab, click on "default." Go to the privacy tab, click on "default." Go to the connection tab, click on LAN settings, make sure there's no proxy (unless your ISP demands it to work---write it down if there's something there and removing it makes your internet stop working). Go to the advanced tab, click on "restore defaults." Click Apply, Click OK. Try it again. No dice? Go back to Tools%26gt;internet options%26gt;advanced and scroll down to "allow third party browser extensions. Uncheck it. Apply%26gt;OK, try again. If that doesn't work, go back in and re-enable third party browser extensions. Apply%26gt;OK.
6. Click on Start%26gt;Run and enter "CMD." In the black box, type in "netsh winsock reset catalog" When prompted, restart your computer. Try again.
7. Try a second, and even third spyware removal tool. The Yahoo toolbar uses Pest Patrol which is pretty good. You can get Spybot S%26amp;D and Ad-Aware at http://www.download.com/
8. Do a System Restore. Start%26gt;All Programs%26gt;Accessories%26gt;System Tools%26gt;System Restore. Go back to a date where you know it worked.
9. Nothing left that I can think of besides repairing or reinstalling XP. If you've gotten this far, either you have/had a wicked piece of spyware that attached itself pretty good to something in your registry, or something just got corrupt in Windows.

Go back to Tools%26gt;internet options%26gt;advanced and scroll down to "allow third party browser extensions. Uncheck it. Apply%26gt;OK, try again. If that doesn't work, go back in and re-enable third party browser extensions. Apply%26gt;OK.
6. Click on Start%26gt;Run and enter "CMD." In the black box, type in "netsh winsock reset catalog" When prompted, restart your computer. Try again.
7. Try a second, and even third spyware removal tool. The Yahoo toolbar uses Pest Patrol which is pretty good. You can get Spybot S%26amp;D and Ad-Aware at http://www.download.com/
8. Do a System Restore. Start%26gt;All Programs%26gt;Accessories%26gt;System Tools%26gt;System Restore. Go back to a date where you know it worked.
9. Nothing left that I can think of besides repairing or reinstalling XP. If you've gotten this far, either you have/had a wicked piece of spyware that attached itself pretty good to something in your registry, or something just got corrupt in Windows.

That said, the way you make an HTML e-mail letter with images is to basically have your images, etc. stored on a Web server that allows hotlinking.

I can't recieve my confirmation email from 2 sites?
They are both lesbian sites-i don't know if that makes a difference? but I am trying to get a confirmation number from them to become a member and they tell me that they keep on trying to send it and it keeps on failing when they try to send it to my email my adress.

Reply:Since there are no MacOs X viruses, what you probably have is a very large email that is clogging your mail application. I am assuming you are using the Apple Mail program. Just open the Mail program and move the bar in the middle down to the bottom. Then you can delete the offending email without it opening.
There is one MacOs X malware out there, but you have to go to a porn site and agree to download it and install it on your computer.

Reply:depending on what kind of site you are getting the email from...your firewall could possibly be blocking it as well. Also any type of P2P protection tool such as peer guardian could be the culprit.
Reply:go to your bulk folder and turn off the feature that automatically deletes bulk and try again.

oh man... well, i know that Macs rarely if ever get viruses, but run Norton Antivirus or call AppleCare and have them run some tests. Run 'disk utility' and restart, too. Good luck!

Reply:If it works on another computer than your computer probably got a virus. Try running a scan for ad-ware or spy-ware.
Reply:Since there are no MacOs X viruses, what you probably have is a very large email that is clogging your mail application. I am assuming you are using the Apple Mail program. Just open the Mail program and move the bar in the middle down to the bottom. Then you can delete the offending email without it opening.
There is one MacOs X malware out there, but you have to go to a porn site and agree to download it and install it on your computer.

No real risks but if you post something they dont like they might email you a nasty letter.. it happened to me.

One person asked a question about art and when I suggested she elaborate so we could help her she did not allow mail so she was stuck.

Put them in your address book for that.

Do you have another mail account? You can try to download the messages to your computer using a program such as thunderbird or outlook or move one message per time.
